Give your agent the present tense.
Deep is an MCP server and a small REST API for permissioned, freshness-aware context about people. Build against synthetic demo people first; real people opt in later, one category at a time.
Endpoints
- MCP
https://api.deepspace.sh/mcp- REST base
https://api.deepspace.sh/api/v1- Auth
- OAuth 2 with dynamic client registration and PKCE, or a bearer token created in the web app. Tokens are scoped to one audience: MCP or REST.
- Scope
status:readfor reading. Publishing signals needs an explicitly approvedsignals:write.
Connect in a minute
Claude Code discovers OAuth on its own. Run /mcp afterwards to sign in and pick what to share.
claude mcp add --transport http deep https://api.deepspace.sh/mcpOr call REST with a token:
curl -H 'Authorization: Bearer $DEEP_TOKEN' \
'https://api.deepspace.sh/api/v1/status?person=demo_maya'Every value comes back degraded to the precision the person granted, with ageMs and stale. Paused people carry paused: true and are never reported as reachable. Every read lands in their access log.
MCP tools
- list_people_i_can_see
- People who grant this agent access, and which categories.
- get_status / get_signal
- Permissioned status, degraded to the granted precision, with ageMs and stale.
- best_way_to_reach
- Should you call, text, or wait? Reachability advice for one person.
- get_changes
- What changed for someone since a point in time.
- wait_until / get_wait
- Register a one-shot condition, like “stopped driving,” evaluated server-side.
- request_grant
- Ask a person for one category for a limited time. They approve or decline.
- request_attention
- Ask for attention under the person's own urgency rules.
- find_group_time / get_group_context
- Shared free time and group context for 2–10 people, without per-person data.
- find_intent_matches
- People open to the same thing you are.
- simulate
- Preview what someone would see of you, without writing anything.
Sandbox tokens and demo people
A sandbox token sees only four synthetic people. It's read-only (status:read), can't publish signals or use Go Dark, and any other handle returns “Person not found.” Reads still go through the normal policy and are audited on the persona.
- Sign in to the web app.
- Open Agents → Developer sandbox and create a sandbox token.
- Use it as a bearer token, or try tools live in the MCP simulator.

Persona signals are synthetic, follow each persona's local schedule, and refresh every five minutes. Demo people can't sign in, aren't discoverable, and can't send invites.
